If you are searching for a job today specifically, there are the traditional methods of job searching, which includes responding to newspaper ads, applying directly to employers, and signing on with a recruitment agency. As a candidate searching for a job on the internet, you can do so from your home, as long as you have a PC and an internet connection. If you are seeking employment in the Dublin area then the job website dublin-recruitment.co.uk makes your task very simple, it offers you a direct resource for Dublin job vacancies that are currently listed on the major job boards.

Additionally, you can register on these Job Boards for vacancy alerts and job news sent to you via email. You simply specify your requirements for the type of job (eg. Sales Careers), and you are then alerted immediately a vacancy that may be of interest is lodged on the Job Board.

This does make things difficult if you are trying to change industry sectors. Experience is generally the key! So look for vacancies that you can match with your skills and experience.

If you obtain vacancies that match more closely your skills, then you can be more confident in getting the job. This will come across in the interview and will hopefully be a major influence in you securing a job.
